EDEX is the State of California, Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) system that allows subscribers and their clients to electronically request and receive information directly from the official database of all Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) cases using a desktop PC and State-approved software.
Inquiries to the EDEX system are made using a Social Security Number or WCAB case number. EDEX can automatically provide ongoing electronic hearing notifications and notices of significant case event activity as the official DWC database is continually updated. EDEX utilizes the AT&T Global Network as the secure conduit between your office and the State’s central database in Sacramento. The EDEX system also enables the subscriber to electronically file liens with the WCAB (please see "EDEX & EAMS").
